I'm Gift Edegware. I build software companies.
Founder & CEO at Gsoft. CTO at Every27. Facilitator at the Qubators AI Foundry. Eight years building production software in Lagos. Press-featured in three national publications.
I write the architecture, ship the code, and stay on for the 3am incidents.
I'm not a coordinator who sells engineering. I'm an engineer who has learned to run a business. The two are different jobs, and the difference shows in the products I lead — every one of them is a system I would have written myself if I had to.
Three roles, one operator.
Founder & CEO — Gsoft Interactive Systems Ltd
I founded Gsoft Interactive Systems in 2017 with a focused brief: build software that holds up under real African conditions. The first projects were small. The reputation that grew around the work was different from the typical local agency narrative — clients said the systems worked, and they kept working.
Eight years later, we've built fintech wallets handling real customer money, government platforms covered in the national press, multi-tenant SaaS for African sellers, e-learning systems with paid content delivery, OTT streaming, hospitality booking, healthcare workflows, and logistics marketplaces. More than fifty production projects, twelve sectors, three press features in a single quarter.
I've intentionally kept Gsoft small and senior. We don't run a junior body shop. The engineers who pitch the work write the code, and the engineers who maintain the system in production are the ones who designed it. It's unusual in the Nigerian market, and it's the reason most of our clients stay on retainer after launch.
Chief Technology Officer — Every27
I serve as CTO at Every27, a multi-tenant payroll platform built for Nigerian businesses. It runs the boring-but-critical workflows — automated payroll, statutory deductions (PAYE, pension), salary advance with employer policy controls, Paystack-backed employee wallets — and we've embedded an AI-powered accounting assistant so a finance lead can ask "what was my total PAYE liability last quarter?" and get a real number from their own data.
Every27 is what payroll software looks like when it's designed for the actual constraints of Nigerian SMEs, not retrofitted from a global SaaS that doesn't understand the local tax code.
Facilitator — Qubators AI Foundry
I was selected as one of the facilitators for the Qubators AI Foundry, an initiative of Qubators — a global network of Christian developers building Kingdom technology. The Foundry's inaugural cohort trained more than 500 developers across Africa to build with AI, with over forty live applications launched at the end of the programme.
I joined the facilitator team to teach what I do in practice — shipping production AI features, not just demos. More on the Foundry.
From the first contract to the third national press feature.
The story is not linear. In 2017 I was writing software for clients one project at a time. By 2025 we'd built fintech wallets, government civic-engagement platforms, payroll SaaS, e-learning systems, OTT streaming, and hospitality software — most of which is still live.
The pattern I've come to trust: pick fewer projects, do them at a higher standard, and let the work compound. Press coverage, government work, partnership conversations with international AI labs — none of it came from marketing. It came from the work being good enough to be referenced.
The work has been recognised.
In December 2025, the AI-powered digital platform we built for the Rivers State House of Assembly was independently covered by three major Nigerian publications — Vanguard, THISDAY and StartupInsights — each describing the deployment as a model for government digital transformation in Nigeria.
In March 2026, NAPS National Body presented Gsoft Interactive Systems with the National Outstanding Performance Award (NOPA), citing the company as an outstanding software development firm in Nigeria.
What you can expect from a conversation with me
- Plain English. I don't perform technical complexity. I'll tell you what's realistic.
- An honest "no" when it fits. Many projects I scope, I decline — wrong fit, wrong moment, wrong budget shape. That's not bad news; it saves both of us the wasted six months.
- A real proposal. Within 48 hours of a discovery call, in writing, with a fixed price for fixed-scope work or a clear T&M shape for evolving work.
- End-to-end accountability. The engineer pitching is the engineer building. If you sign with me, the team won't disappear.
